Dera Ismail Khan: Ali Amin Khan Gandapur, former Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, provided medicines worth Rs. 500,000 for inmates of the District Central Jail Dera Ismail Khan on the request of Superintendent Ijaz Khan Mehsud.

According to details, during his visit to District Central Jail Dera Ismail Khan on January 29, 2026, the former Chief Minister held a detailed meeting with the jail administration and listened attentively to the issues faced by prisoners. On the occasion, Superintendent Ijaz Mehsud personally requested the provision of medicines for inmates requiring medical treatment, which was accepted with seriousness and sympathy.

Subsequently, medicines worth Rs. 5 lakh were handed over to the jail administration to enhance medical facilities for prisoners. The provision of these medicines is expected to significantly facilitate inmates undergoing treatment and improve the overall standard of healthcare within the jail.

The medicines were formally handed over to Superintendent Ijaz Mehsud by Nawaz Khan, focal person of former Chief Minister Ali Amin Khan Gandapur.

The initiative has been appreciated as a humanitarian step aimed at addressing healthcare needs of prisoners in Dera Ismail Khan.
