Bajaur: The district administration has adopted a comprehensive strategy to ensure a permanent solution to the issues of encroachments, illegal parking, unauthorized bus stands, and increasing traffic congestion in Khar Bazaar and Inayat Kallay Bazaar. In this regard, an important meeting was held under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Bajaur, Mr. Shahid Ali Khan, in the light of the directives of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government, during which traffic and mobility issues faced by citizens were reviewed in detail.
The meeting was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Shahid Rafiq Gandapur, Assistant Commissioner Khar Dr. Sadiq Ali, Additional Assistant Commissioner Muhammad Nisar Khan, DSP Traffic Suhail Salar, and a representative of TMO Khar. During the meeting, a detailed discussion was held on traffic congestion and the difficulties faced by the public due to encroachments, illegal parking, and unauthorized stands in the main bazaars.
Addressing the meeting, the Deputy Commissioner Bajaur issued clear directives to immediately launch an anti-encroachment operation to eliminate encroachments and illegal parking, and to ensure strict enforcement of the law without any leniency. He stated that reducing unnecessary traffic pressure in the main bazaars, improving the flow of traffic, and providing relief to citizens are top priorities of the district administration.
The meeting also decided to increase the strength of the traffic police, initiate a phased crackdown, and carry out operations under an effective strategy through inter-departmental coordination. Emphasis was placed on ensuring complete cooperation among all relevant departments so that order could be maintained in the bazaars, illegal parking and encroachments eliminated, and smooth, uninterrupted movement facilitated for the public.
The Deputy Commissioner Bajaur directed the concerned departments to ensure immediate implementation of the decisions taken and to keep the public informed about the outcomes of these measures, so that a sustainable solution to the long-standing traffic problems in Khar and Inayat Kallay bazaars could be achieved.
