KOHAT: Deputy Commissioner Kohat Rahimullah Mehsud chaired a meeting of the District Monitoring and Implementation Committee, stressing strict enforcement of law and order measures and zero tolerance for activities undermining public security.
The meeting was attended by the District Police Officer Kohat, Assistant Commissioners of Kohat and Dara Adam Khel, and senior officials from the Excise and Taxation Department, Customs and other relevant agencies. Officials briefed the chair on the prevailing law and order situation and ongoing enforcement actions.
Directing effective implementation of the Revised National Action Plan, the Deputy Commissioner said no leniency would be shown to elements disturbing peace. He also reviewed measures to curb the illegal use of communication spectrum and smuggling, issuing clear instructions to concerned departments to strengthen coordination and enforcement.
Later, Mehsud visited the District Headquarters (DHQ) Hospital Kohat, where he inspected the emergency department, laboratory and various wards. He reviewed the availability of medicines, cleanliness and overall management and directed the hospital administration to ensure free and timely treatment for patients, strict staff attendance and courteous behavior with the public.
