JAMRUD: The family members of the late Haji Hashim Khan, including Haji Lal Bat Khan, Zabit Khan, Kishwar Khan and other held an emergency press conference at Jamrud Press Club. They stated that the Jamrood police, at the behest of their opponents, demolished their constructions at Takhta Beg yesterday, which is an act of sheer oppression and condemnable.
They alleged that their opponent, Fakhar Alam, along with a few miscreants, is trying to make their property controversial, despite the fact that the land has already been decided in their favor through a Jirga by the Chief of Kuki Khel, Malik Attaullah, and Abdul Malik.
The family members clarified that they are ready for any kind of Jirga and negotiations, but will not tolerate force and misuse of police. They accused Fakhar Alam of embezzling millions of rupees from the joint land, against which they have initiated legal proceedings.
The family demanded that the authorities, DPO Khyber, and CCPO Peshawar take notice of the incident, conduct an impartial inquiry, and take legal action against the involved police officials.
