RAWALPINDI: In view of severe snowfall across different areas of Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the Pakistan Army has launched timely and extensive rescue and relief operations to assist affected populations.
To ensure swift response, the Pak Army established control centres in Hosri, Ziarat, Bolan, Zhob, Qila Saifullah, Khojak Top, Lak Passes, Daki, Kolpur and Muslim Bagh. Army personnel and rescue teams are actively engaged in rescuing people trapped due to heavy snowfall, while also providing food, medical assistance and other basic necessities to affected locals and stranded tourists.
The Pakistan Army reaffirmed that it remains fully prepared at all times to extend relief to the public during severe weather conditions and natural emergencies.
Meanwhile, security forces are also carrying out full-scale rescue and relief operations in Kurram district, where heavy rains and unusual snowfall disrupted normal life. Emergency operations were launched immediately to assist the local population and restore land communications.

Through the effective use of heavy machinery and manpower, all affected roads were completely cleared and restored. The reopening of key land routes ensured the smooth supply of essential commodities and enabled residents to regain access to markets and health facilities.
Pak Army personnel successfully removed snow from highways and safely shifted all stranded passengers and vehicles to secure locations. As a result of these professional and timely measures, major land routes were restored, sparing the population from severe hardships.
Despite extreme weather and challenging conditions, officers and soldiers of the Pakistan Army are personally supervising relief operations. In Tirah Valley, army personnel continue relief work selflessly amid heavy snowfall, disregarding risks to their own lives.
Local citizens have highly appreciated the efforts of the security forces for their prompt and effective relief operations under harsh weather conditions.
The Pakistan Army remains steadfast in its resolve to protect the lives and property of the people and to provide immediate relief during natural disasters and emergencies.
