JAMRUD: The elders of various subtribes of Khatyaa khail tribe, including Fakhar Alam Zora Khel, Sherzada Ibrahim Khel, Khial Akbar Mastal Khel, Haji Shama Dar, and Shah Syed, held a press conference at Jamrud Press Club.
They rejected all allegations made by the Shah Noor Khel tribe and clarified that the Takhta Baig land belongs to the entire Khatyaa khail nation, and no one will be allowed to take it over forcibly.
Fakhar Alam Khan Zora Khail stated that the Shah Noor Khail elders have already received their share of the compensation money from NHA, but Gulash Khan has taken 28 lakh rupees from him in addition to his share, and he has proof of it.
The elders appreciated the police action and thanked DPO Khyber for preventing a major clash. They stated that the land includes the rightful share of the poor, orphans, and widows, which cannot be ignored.
They accused some elements of acting as land grabbers and pointed out that an attempt to forcibly occupy land near Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Hotel is an example of this.
The elders mentioned that the court has issued a stay order on the land, and attempts to forcibly occupy it are against the law.
