BANNU: A grand prize distribution ceremony for the annual Middle Schools Games was held in Bannu district, recognizing outstanding student performers in various sports competitions.
Under the provincial government’s good governance policy, and on the instructions of Deputy Commissioner Bannu Muhammad Fahim, Assistant Commissioner Bannu Dr. Ishtiaq Ahmed attended the ceremony as the special guest. The event was also attended by General Secretary of the Middle Schools Tournament Committee Riaz Khan, District Sub-Division Minister Sports Officer Rizwanullah Khan Awan, International Referee Muhammad Nizam-ul-Haq, Abdul Hafeez Qureshi, teachers, students, and a large number of participants from various walks of life.
During the ceremony, shields, trophies, and honorary prizes were awarded to students who excelled in the competitions. Participants appreciated the enthusiasm and dedication of the students, noting the importance of such events for fostering discipline, teamwork, endurance, and a spirit of positive competition.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Ishtiaq Ahmed emphasized the importance of sports alongside curricular activities for the all-round development of students. He praised the efforts of teachers, administrators, and the Middle Schools Tournament Committee for successfully organizing the event, and expressed hope that such activities will continue regularly to provide students more opportunities to develop their skills.
The ceremony concluded with the dignitaries congratulating the award-winning students and wishing them a bright future.
