Malakand: A prestigious cycle race was organized by the District Administration Dir Payan and Tehsil Municipal Administration Timergara under the Clean and Green Timergara campaign. Over 40 cyclists from various districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa participated to raise awareness about cleanliness, tree plantation, and environmental protection.

The race covered 18 kilometers from Balambat to the Bajaur border, with participants actively promoting messages for a clean environment and healthy lifestyle. Sanaullah from Mardan won first place, followed by Umar Farooq, Haroon Khan, Abuzar, Adnan Khan, and Mubeen Jan.

Additional Deputy Commissioner General Wajid Ali Khan, the chief guest, distributed prizes and certificates. He emphasized that the campaign, the first of its kind in Dir, aims to make cleanliness and environmental care an integral part of society and inspire the younger generation to adopt positive and healthy activities.

The event was attended by Tehsil Municipal Administration officers, local elders, and citizens, all appreciating the initiative’s role in promoting a cleaner and greener Timergara.
