Mardan: Women University Mardan observed Kashmir Solidarity Day by organizing a Solidarity Walk and an awareness program to express support for the people of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir . The event brought together students, faculty, and staff to reaffirm solidarity with the Kashmiri people and highlight their right to self-determination.
The chief guest, Muhammad Kashif Kamal, Director Helpline 1099 and Director Child Protection Institute, Ministry of Human Rights, spoke about documented human rights concerns in IIOJK and stressed the need for international attention and accountability. Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Razia Sultana reiterated the university’s commitment to raising awareness about the Kashmir issue and emphasized the role of education in promoting informed advocacy, peace, and justice.
Organized by the Department of Political Science faculty, the program featured student speeches, a quiz competition, poetry recitations, and documentary presentations. The event reflected the university’s dedication to fostering social awareness and reinforcing the national spirit of solidarity with Kashmir.
