PESHAWAR: Director General Sports Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Tashfeen Haider, presented a commemorative shield to Technical Official Hockey Coach Zeeshan Elahi in recognition of his valuable services and contributions to the promotion and development of hockey in the province.
The shield was awarded during a ceremony attended by Accountant Shah Faisal, Director Operations Jamshed Baloch, and President Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Hockey Association Zahir Shah, along with other officials of the Sports Department and hockey fraternity.
Speaking on the occasion, DG Sports Tashfeen Haider appreciated the dedication, professionalism, and technical expertise of Zeeshan Elahi, stating that committed coaches and officials play a vital role in nurturing young talent and strengthening hockey at the grassroots and competitive levels. He emphasized that the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Sports Department remains fully committed to supporting hockey and providing all possible facilities to players and coaches.
Zeeshan Elahi expressed his gratitude to the Sports Department and the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Hockey Association for the recognition, reaffirming his resolve to continue working tirelessly for the betterment of the game. Other speakers also highlighted the importance of acknowledging the services of sports officials and coaches who contribute behind the scenes to the success and growth of hockey in the province.
