DERA ISMAIL KHAN:Inspector General of Police Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Zulfiqar Hameed visited Dera Ismail Khan to express condolences and solidarity with the families of the police officers and youth who were martyred and injured in the terrorist attack in Wanda Badh Panyala yesterday. Ijaz Shaheed reached the Police Lines, paid homage at the Police Martyrs Memorial, and prayed for the highest ranks of the police martyrs. IG Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Zulfiqar Hameed expressed deep sorrow while meeting the families of the martyrs and said that the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police have always stood firm for the peace of the country and fought against terrorists, making sacrifices for the peace of the country and the province. Our martyrs are our glory and our pride. Their sacrifices will never be forgotten, and their families will not be left alone. He reiterated the resolve that the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police will remain steadfast until the end of terrorism. The IGP further said that very soon, a safe city and modern technology are being brought to Dera, which will destroy all the evil intentions of anti-social elements and the enemies of peace will not be allowed to succeed at any cost. God willing, peace and order will be restored very soon, which will lead to progress in the country and the province. Finally, special prayers were offered for the elevation of the ranks of the martyrs and the peace of the beloved homeland. The IG Khyber Pakhtunkhwa also visited the DHQ Civil Hospital in Dera, where he visited the injured police personnel, presented them with bouquets of flowers and took a briefing from the medical staff regarding their treatment. He issued instructions for better treatment and care of the injured personnel and encouraged them, saying that terrorist elements cannot demoralize the police force with their cowardly actions. Our morale is high and the department is proud of such police personnel who are bravely performing their duties as a lead wall in front of terrorists for peace and order, destroying their nefarious intentions. Later, an important meeting was held at the Range Police Office Dera under the chairmanship of IG Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Zulfiqar Hameed to review the law and order and security situation. Commissioner Dera Division Daud Khan, Additional IG CTD Jawad Qamar, Station Commander Brigadier Muhammad Abu Bakr, RPO Dera Syed Ashfaq Anwar, DPO Dera Sahibzada Sajjad Ahmed, SP CTD Paharpur participated in the meeting. RPO Dera gave a detailed briefing on the overall law and order situation in the Dera region, recent incidents of terrorism and the ongoing operations against them. On this occasion, IG Khyber Pakhtunkhwa said that terrorists are open enemies of the state, and no leniency or concession will be shown to them. The police force will pursue these elements with full force and determination, expose them and bring them to justice according to the law. Wherever the enemies of peace are, they will be brought to justice. The IGP said that there will be no room for terrorism in the Dera region. The IGP also directed to further intensify all field force patrols, intelligence sharing, search operations and targeted operations. The IGP said that establishing the writ of the state and eliminating terrorists will be ensured at all costs. Talking to media representatives on this occasion, the IGP said that anti-national elements will not be allowed to disturb peace under any circumstances. He paid tribute to the police martyrs and said that their sacrifices will not go in vain. The IGP said that the terrorists have also suffered considerable casualties in the police response. Strong action will be taken against those who try to commit terrorism and sedition and expressed his determination that the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police is fully capable of dealing with every challenge and will continue its efforts until lasting peace is established in the province. The IGP further said that such incidents cannot demoralize the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa police personnel. The police force is fully prepared to deal with terrorists. And our operations against them will continue with greater speed and urgency. Moreover, for this, in addition to equipping the police with modern weapons and technology, construction of police stations and other buildings and provision of bulletproof vehicles are also underway so that the loss of police is minimized.
