IMRAN AFRIDI
JAMRUD: On the instructions of Additional Assistant Commissioner Naseemullah Shah, a detailed visit was carried out in Jamrud Bazaar in connection with the holy month of Ramadan. During the visit, officially prescribed price lists were distributed among shopkeepers, who were directed to display them at prominent places for public awareness.
The AAC strictly instructed traders and shopkeepers to provide maximum relief to citizens during Ramadan and warned that any self-made hike in prices of essential commodities would not be tolerated. He emphasized that violations of the official price list, hoarding, or failure to display rates would result in legal action.
He added that the district administration is committed to ensuring the availability of essential items at affordable rates and that market inspections will continue throughout Ramadan to prevent overpricing and protect consumers.
