PESHAWAR: The Industrialists Association Peshawar (IAP) in collaboration with the Directorate of Higher Education Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (HED) and Pakistan Science Foundation Islamabad (PSF) held a meeting on “Presentation on Industrial Issues as Academic Projects” here the other day at IAP Office under the chair of President IAP Ayub Khan Zakori.
According to a press release, the meeting was attended by Vice President IAP Farhad Asfandiyar, Ex-President Riaz Arshad, Ex-President Zarak Khan Khattak, Executive Member Sajjad Zaheer, and members Khurshid Alam and Mujeeb ur Rehman.
Officials from HED and PSF also participated in the meeting. The participants discussed several topics regarding commercialization, based on real-time industrial issues of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. It was decided that HED, universities, and IAP would jointly examine and scrutinize the project lists to exclude irrelevant proposals.
PSF in collaboration with academia, HED, and IAP will review and finalize projects for submission, stated the participants. Meanwhile, PSF expressed readiness to finance a conference on industrial issues as well as finance project design workshops.
The PSF representatives said that IAP members were encouraged to start identifying key industrial issues and potential projects, so strong and practical proposals could be submitted within the given timeline.
