On the joyous occasion of Eid-ul-Adha, beautiful glimpses of the spirit of sacrifice and service to humanity were witnessed at the Paraplegic Center Peshawar (PCP), wherein several charitable organizations and philanthropists contributed. Qatar Charity and Friends of Paraplegics (FoP) continued their tradition of supporting patients with disabilities and their families, while Fix It KP Chapter made the day even more memorable.

Qatar Charity distributed sacrificial meat to 98 persons with disabilities (PwDs), patients, and their families. Dr. Syed Muhammad Ilyas, CEO PCP, expressed his heartfelt happiness, stating that Qatar Charity’s gesture of distributing sacrificial meat among people with disabilities in Peshawar won everyone’s hearts. He added that the selection of PCP and FoP for this initiative was testimony to their commitment to a genuine welfare mission, and Qatar Charity would undoubtedly continue to collaborate with them to promote true service and selflessness in the future.

As per tradition, Friends of Paraplegics Peshawar continued its services during Eid. This time, a calf was sacrificed, and its meat was distributed among the patients and their caregivers as needed throughout the days of Eid.

Similarly, Fix It’s provincial president Adnan Khan not only visited the Paraplegic Center Peshawar but also brought four goats for sacrifice with his team. Accompanied by fifty orphan children from the Fix It Family Home and their caretakers, they shared the joy of Eid with the patients, participated in the meal, and the children played in the center’s lawn, enjoying the festivities.

Volunteers from Friends of Paraplegics and the Fix It team joined hands to host a feast for the patients and children with sacrificial meat. Eidi and sweets were also distributed among the children, bringing smiles to their faces.

Dr. Ilyas Syed deeply appreciated Fix It’s heartfelt participation. He mentioned that Adnan Khan and his team’s celebration of Eid with the patients and orphan children at the PCP was not just a feast or a traditional charitable activity, but a living example of humanity, selflessness and harmony. He added that this day was not only a message of joy for the patients but also an emotionally enriching experience for them, especially because his two sons, Omar and Ali, were also present on this occasion.

On this occasion, the Chairman FoP, Sana Ullah, General Secretary Engr Irfan Ullah, executive membersand district coordinators were also present, playing a crucial role in making the Eid celebrations a success.
