MARDAN: The Department of Chemistry at Women University Mardan held its 5th Board of Studies (BoS) meeting on March 9, 2026, to review and approve the curriculum recommended by the Higher Education Commission of Pakistan for BS, MPhil, and PhD programs in Chemistry.

The meeting was chaired by Dr. Naila Zubair, Head of the Department of Chemistry. The department was honored by the presence of Prof. Dr. Khair Zaman and Prof. Dr. Asad Ali from the Department of Chemistry, Abdul Wali Khan University Mardan, who participated as external members of the Board.

Other participants included Dr. Huma Fatima, Head of the Department of Zoology; Dr. Neelum Zeb, Assistant Professor of Biotechnology; and faculty members from the Department of Chemistry, including Dr. Monazza Serwar, Dr. Raina Aman, and Dr. Hina Khalid.

During the meeting, the Board members thoroughly discussed the updated curriculum and approved it in line with national academic standards and quality assurance requirements set by the Higher Education Commission.

The Department of Chemistry also acknowledged the guidance and support of the Vice Chancellor of Women University Mardan, Prof. Dr. Razia Sultana, and the Director Academics, whose leadership and encouragement continue to promote academic excellence and curriculum development at the university.
