PESHAWAR: The Chairman and members of the District Zakat Committee Peshawar visited the Hamza Foundation Welfare Thalassemia Center and Blood Transfusion Services in Peshawar on March 9, 2026, to review the services being provided to patients suffering from blood disorders.
During the visit, District Zakat Chairman Peshawar, Mr. Muhammad Zaheer, along with other members of the Zakat Committee, toured the facility and observed the welfare services offered by the foundation. The delegation was given a detailed briefing by Mr. Ijaz Ali Khan, Chairman of the foundation, and Dr. Tariq Khan, Medical Director.
The officials informed the visiting committee that the foundation is currently providing free-of-cost screened blood, blood products including Fresh Frozen Plasma (FFP) and platelets, iron chelation medicines, and food support to 1,563 registered underprivileged patients suffering from thalassemia, hemophilia, and other blood disorders.
The Chairman of the District Zakat Committee and other members highly appreciated the humanitarian services being rendered by the foundation for patients in need. They assured their continued support and cooperation to strengthen the organization’s efforts in serving ailing humanity.
