KARAK: Deputy Commissioner Karak Imposes 30-Day Ban on Sale of Petroleum Products in Open Containers

Deputy Commissioner Karak, Asad Sarwar, has imposed a 30-day ban under Section 144 on the sale, purchase, and supply of petroleum products in open containers, bottles, and jerry cans across the district.

According to the official order, the move aims to protect the public from substandard and illegal petroleum products and to maintain order in the local market. The Deputy Commissioner made it clear that any individual or shop found selling petroleum products in open containers or non-standard jerry cans will face legal action.

Sources indicate that the ban is intended to curb illegal fuel supply and potential malpractice in the district. The Deputy Commissioner has directed relevant authorities to conduct inspections at markets, petrol stations, and commercial outlets to strictly enforce the ban.

The Deputy Commissioner also urged the public to cooperate in preventing illegal trade and ensuring transparency in the fuel supply chain.
The ban is effective immediately and will remain in force for 30 days, after which the situation will be reviewed to determine any further necessary measures.
