OTTAWA: The High Commissioner of Pakistan to Canada, Muhammad Saleem, participated in the Global Insights event organized by the John Molson International Business Association at Concordia University, Montreal, on March 12, 2026.
The event brought together students, researchers, and academics to discuss contemporary global economic developments under the theme “The New World Order and Trade Implications.” During the session, Ambassador Saleem shared Pakistan’s perspective on the rapidly evolving international trade environment, highlighting emerging geopolitical shifts, economic realignments, and their implications for developing economies.
He underscored the importance of adapting to changing global dynamics through strategic engagement, innovation, and strengthened international partnerships. The High Commissioner emphasized that constructive dialogue between diplomatic representatives and academic institutions plays a vital role in fostering mutual understanding and preparing future leaders in the fields of international business, economics, and diplomacy.
Ambassador Saleem also highlighted the significance of engaging with students and young researchers, describing them as the next generation of policymakers and decision-makers who will shape global economic and diplomatic frameworks.
