DERA ISMAIL KHAN: An important meeting of the Divisional Intelligence Coordination Committee (DICC) was held at the office of the Commissioner Dera Ismail Khan Division to ensure law and order during the upcoming Eid-ul-Fitr celebrations.
The meeting was chaired by Dawood Khan. It was attended by Syed Ashfaq Anwar, Abdul Nasir Khan, Sajjad Baloch, along with senior officers of the police and other law enforcement agencies.
At the beginning of the meeting, special prayers were offered for the martyrs and injured personnel of the police and other law enforcement agencies who sacrificed their lives for the country. Participants paid tribute to their services and prayed for the speedy recovery of the injured.
During the session, officials briefed the forum on the security strategy for Eid-ul-Fitr. The Regional Police Officer informed that security arrangements are in their final stages and all concerned departments are working in close coordination to fulfill their responsibilities effectively.
The meeting particularly reviewed special security measures for the last ten days of Ramadan, including Khatm-e-Quran gatherings in mosques and the Youm-e-Quds procession. Authorities stated that strict security arrangements will be implemented to maintain peace and ensure citizens can participate in religious activities without fear.
It was further shared that comprehensive security plans have also been finalized for Chaand Raat, Eid-ul-Fitr, and Nowruz. Additional police personnel and law enforcement staff will be deployed at sensitive locations, mosques, imambargahs, markets, and major highways.
The forum emphasized enhanced coordination and intelligence sharing among all institutions to address any potential threats. Citizens were also urged to immediately report suspicious activities to relevant authorities for timely action.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the Commissioner directed all departments to utilize available resources to maintain peace and provide a safe and secure environment to the public during Eid celebrations.
