DI KHAN: Commissioner Dera Ismail Khan Division Daud Khan paid a special visit to Zamong Kor on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr, where he distributed new Eid outfits (suits) among the children from his personal resources. The children warmly welcomed the Commissioner and described the moment as one of the most memorable events of their lives. Assistant to the Commissioner (Political & Development) Sajad Baloch accompanied him during the visit.

Speaking on the occasion, Commissioner Daud Khan said that Zamong Kor is an important and commendable initiative of the government, aimed at providing a safe environment to street children and transforming them into responsible citizens. He noted that the project, launched in 2022, has produced positive results and should be further expanded. He emphasized that such institutions play a vital role in society by not only providing education but also preparing children for a better future. He added that the care and upbringing of these children is a collective responsibility.

The Commissioner also arranged a special Iftar and offered congregational Taraweeh prayers at Zamong Kor, in which children and staff actively participated. He distributed cash gifts (Eidi) among the underprivileged children, bringing smiles to their faces and enhancing the joy of Eid.

During the visit, the in-charge of Zamong Kor briefed the Commissioner about various sections of the institution. He was informed that, along with formal education, co-curricular activities such as sports, arts, and skill-development programs are also being conducted to ensure the holistic development of the children.

The Commissioner appreciated the performance of the institution and stated that projects like Zamong Kor serve as a beacon of hope for marginalized segments of society. He praised the dedication of the staff and said their efforts are helping these children move toward a safe and bright future.

In conclusion, he appealed to philanthropists, social organizations, and well-off individuals to come forward and support these underprivileged children, as they carry dreams of a better tomorrow that require collective attention and cooperation.
