DERA ISMAIL KHAN: A vehicle in the convoy of Maulana Asjad Mahmood, son of Maulana Fazlur Rehman, overturned near CPEC Wanda Yarok due to rain and slippery road conditions, resulting in the death of two volunteers of Anjuman Ansar-ul-Islam and injuring one other person. The driver remained safe.
According to details, the accident occurred when the convoy vehicle skidded off the road amid rainfall and fell into a roadside area. The deceased were identified as Qari Ihsanullah Haqqani and Maulana Junaid Ahmad, both residents of Lakki Marwat. The injured individual was shifted to hospital for medical treatment. The vehicle sustained severe damage due to the impact.
Maulana Fazlur Rehman expressed deep sorrow over the martyrdom of the two volunteers, stating that he was heartbroken and prayed for the acceptance of their sacrifice and elevation of their ranks. He added that their martyrdom during the blessed month of Ramadan would be a means of spiritual elevation.
Maulana Asjad Mahmood also expressed grief, saying he felt the same pain as the loss of a close relative and considered the tragedy a personal loss. He prayed for patience for the bereaved families and swift recovery for the injured.
The funeral prayer was offered in Abdul Khel under the leadership of Maulana Fazlur Rehman, with hundreds of people in attendance. The bodies were later dispatched to their native area in Lakki Marwat for burial.
