PESHAWAR: The Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has issued a weather advisory forecasting partly cloudy to cloudy conditions across most districts of the province during the next 24 hours, with cold weather expected in upper regions.
According to the PDMA helpline (1700) update issued on March 19, 2026, intermittent rain accompanied by wind and thunderstorms, along with snowfall over high mountains, is expected in several districts including Chitral, Dir (Upper and Lower), Swat, Shangla, Kohistan, Mansehra, Abbottabad, Peshawar, Mardan, Swabi, Khyber, Kohat, Bannu, and North and South Waziristan.
The advisory also warned of isolated hailstorms and heavy rainfall in parts of the province during the forecast period.
Over the last 24 hours, significant rainfall was recorded in multiple areas, with Cherat receiving the highest at 36mm, followed by Parachinar (29mm), Malam Jabba (23mm), and Dir (22mm). No snowfall was reported during this period.
The highest maximum temperature recorded was 20°C in D.I. Khan, while the lowest minimum temperature dropped to 0°C in Kalam, Malam Jabba, and Nathia Gali.
Air quality levels remained moderate, with AQI recorded at 67 in Peshawar, 62 in Haripur, and 47 in Abbottabad.
