Bajaur: On the occasion of Pakistan Day, a dignified and grand rally was held in District Bajaur under the leadership of Deputy Commissioner Bajaur Shahid Ali Khan and Commandant Bajaur Scouts Brigadier Waqas Ghumman. The rally started from Civil Colony Khar and proceeded through Shaheed Chowk, culminating at Ababeel Shindai Mor.
A large number of participants, including district administration officials, police personnel, tribal elders, youth, journalists, and local citizens, took part in the rally. Participants expressed their love for the country and national unity by carrying the national flag.
At the conclusion of the rally, “Ababeel Shaheed Chowk” located at Ababeel Shindai Mor was formally inaugurated. The chowk has been dedicated to the memory of six of the Bajaur Police’s Ababeel Squad who were martyred in firing by unknown assailants during the holy month of Ramadan.
During the ceremony, the national flag was hoisted, the national anthem was played, and special prayers were offered for the elevation of the ranks of the martyrs. Administrative officials, police personnel, members of the Ababeel Squad, and families of the martyrs attended the event.
Speaking to the media, Deputy Commissioner Shahid Ali Khan said that the establishment of Ababeel Shaheed Chowk is a symbol of tribute to the sacrifices of the brave ensuring that their services are always remembered.
He further added that Pakistan Day reminds us to honor the great sacrifices of our martyrs and renew our commitment to the defense and stability of the country.
