Dera Ismail Khan: The “Ehsas Tree Plantation Drive” was formally inaugurated at Gomal University on the occasion of Pakistan Day. The chief guests at the ceremony were Member National Assembly Faisal Amin Khan Gandapur and Deputy Commissioner Abdul Nasir Khan, who planted saplings to mark the launch of the campaign.

The ceremony was attended by Pro Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Niamatullah Khan Babar, Registrar Zahir Shah Marwat, Director Finance Zakiullah Khan Gandapur, District Forest Officer Ameen-ul-Salam Khan, deans of various departments, assistant commissioners, and faculty members.

The event was organized on the special directives of Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Muhammad Zafar Iqbal, while arrangements were managed by Head of Horticulture and Landscaping Section Dr. Imran and his team.

Addressing the gathering, Faisal Amin Khan Gandapur stated that the “Ehsas Tree Plantation Drive” is an important step towards environmental protection and achieving the vision of a green Pakistan. He emphasized that planting trees is essential not only for the present but also for future generations, and such initiatives play a key role in reducing environmental pollution.

He urged students and teachers to actively participate in the campaign and contribute to improving the environment by planting more trees.

At the end of the ceremony, participants planted various saplings and offered prayers for the country’s prosperity, development, and greenery.
