PESHAWAR: Provincial President of the Pakistan Journalists Association, Sohail Bacha, strongly condemned the attack on senior journalist and Khyber News reporter Muhammad Israr by unidentified assailants in Lower Dir, and demanded the immediate arrest of those involved.
He stated that journalists are the eyes and voice of society, and any attack on them is an attack on press freedom. The association expressed full solidarity with Muhammad Israr and assured him of complete support during this difficult time.
It is pertinent to mention that Muhammad Israr was injured in the attack and was shifted to Chakdara Hospital, where he is receiving medical treatment. The incident has sparked serious concern and anger within journalistic circles.
