PESHAWAR — Frontier Corps KP North organized a Grand Khyber Jirga at Qila Bala Hisar, Peshawar, attended by 114 tribal elders representing all ethnic groups of Khyber.
Government & Military Leaders Attend
Chief Secretary KP and IG FC KP North, Major General Rao Imran Sartaj, along with other government and military officials, were present to engage with tribal representatives.
Consultation to Resolve Issues
The Chief Secretary emphasized that all local issues will be addressed through continuous dialogue with the tribes.
Development Projects Announced
Plans include boosting police, CTD, and Special Branch capacity in Tirah Maidan, along with road construction, agricultural development, water supply, solarization, and capacity building for tehsil administration.

Compensation Progress
Compensation has been paid to 13,500 TDPs, with payments to remaining victims ongoing.
Elders Call for Peace
Tribal elders stressed that restoring peace and stability is vital for Khyber’s overall development, particularly in the Tirah plain, and pledged continued cooperation with the government and security forces.
Security Assurance
IG FC KP North, Major General Rao Imran Sartaj, reaffirmed that no one will be allowed to disrupt peace and stability in the region.
