A delegation led by Engineer Ghani Gul Masood called on Usman Masood, Director General of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Culture and Tourism Department, in a cordial meeting held on Tuesday.
During the meeting, Engineer Ghani Gul Masood congratulated Usman Masood on his appointment and appreciated his leadership. He emphasized the urgent need to revive tourism in Waziristan, highlighting its natural beauty and potential for adventure tourism. He noted that restoring tourism activities would create employment opportunities for local communities and attract visitors seeking unique cultural and scenic experiences.
In response, DG Usman Masood welcomed the suggestions and expressed his commitment to promoting tourism across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. He assured the delegation that special attention would be given to remote and underdeveloped areas, particularly South Waziristan, to ensure sustainable tourism development and economic growth in the region.
The meeting concluded with a shared resolve to work collaboratively for the promotion of tourism and the uplift of local communities.
