PESHAWAR: A major sports development project was formally inaugurated at Government Hasnain Sharif Shaheed Higher Secondary School No.1 Peshawar, under the special initiative of Provincial Minister for Local Government and Higher Education, Meena Khan Afridi, who attended the ceremony as chief guest.

The inauguration ceremony was attended by Regional Sports Officer Peshawar Kashif Farhan, Project Director Arbab Faiz, Engineer Hazrat Ali, along with local office-bearers of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf, NCVC chairmen, and a large number of workers.

On the occasion, Regional Sports Officer Kashif Farhan briefed participants about the project, stating that its core objective is to provide modern sports facilities to youth and encourage their participation in healthy and constructive activities.

Addressing the gathering, Provincial Minister Meena Khan Afridi stressed the importance of timely completion of the project and issued necessary directives to the relevant authorities. He remarked that the initiative would benefit not only the students of the institution but also the wider community.

Under the project, the sports ground will be reserved for students during morning hours, while in the evening it will be accessible to the general public to promote sports and recreational activities.

The project features a football and futsal ground, a cricket academy, a basketball court, badminton and squash courts, as well as a boundary wall and other modern sports infrastructure.
