Dera Ismail Khan: On the directives of Commissioner Dera Division, Dawood Khan, Secretary RTA Dera, Shaukat Iqbal, along with Assistant Commissioner Dera, Syed Muhammad Arsalan, visited the complaint cell established at the General Bus Stand in light of rising diesel prices and held a meeting with transporters.
During the meeting, passenger fare rates were reassessed. Authorities also conducted inspections at various bus stands to verify fares on the spot. Passengers were directly interviewed inside vehicles to evaluate the actual situation.
Additionally, inspections were carried out at different petrol pumps to check fuel prices and measuring gauges. Fines were imposed on violators, and a revised fare assessment list was prepared to provide relief to the public.
The administration made it clear that profiteering, overcharging, and overloading will not be tolerated under any circumstances, and strict action will continue without interruption.
Citizens have been urged to immediately contact the complaint cell in case of any grievances to ensure prompt action.
