PESHAWAR: Bishop of Peshawar Humphrey Sarfraz Peters (Church of Pakistan) has announced a Day of Thanksgiving under the title “We Love Pakistan” to mark Pakistan’s historic achievement in facilitating a ceasefire between Iran and the United States through successful diplomacy and wise leadership in the Middle East.

On this occasion, the Bishop stated that this achievement is not only a matter of pride for Pakistan but for the entire world, as it has elevated Pakistan’s name on the global stage. He appealed to the Christian community, people of other religions, and minorities residing in the country to remember such visionary and sincere leadership in their prayers, whose efforts helped save the Middle East from a major catastrophe.

He particularly praised Pakistan’s political and military leadership, stating that the farsighted and sincere efforts of Prime Minister Mian Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif and Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir are commendable at the international level. Due to these efforts, tensions between Iran and the United States were reduced, which has been appreciated not only by Islamic countries but by the entire world.

The Bishop of Peshawar also urged the nation and all political parties to set aside personal differences and prioritize national interests, contributing fully to the country’s progress and stability. In the end, he delivered a clear message to anti-state elements that Pakistan is our red line and any compromise on it is unacceptable.

The entire nation—Christians, other minorities, and the Muslim majority—stands united like a solid wall alongside the Pakistan Army against any enemy. The Bishop also led a special prayer at the church, seeking blessings for the country’s security, the success of its leadership, and the protection of all minorities.
