Peshawar: Information Commissioners Muhammad Arshad and Arshad Ahmad heard more than 30 complaints at the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Information Commission, Peshawar. During the hearing, Public Information Officers from various government departments of Peshawar, Mardan, Swabi, and Charsadda appeared before the commission.
On the occasion, the Administration Department Peshawar, C&W Department Charsadda, and the University of Swabi provided the requested information to citizens. Citizens Naveed Hussain, Amir Akbar, and Ahmed Hussain had respectively requested an inquiry report and other details from the University of Swabi, contract details from the C&W Highways Division Charsadda, and information regarding government quarters from the Administration Department.
Furthermore, the commission directed the DC Office Charsadda, Local Government Department, Police, and Elementary and Secondary Education Department to provide the requested information to the commission within 10 days. A decision was also made to issue a show-cause notice to the DC Swabi due to non-compliance with hearing proceedings.
