PESHAWAR:The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Food Safety & Halal Food Authority has launched a special province-wide campaign for the registration and license renewal of food-related businesses. The drive commenced today on June 16, 2025, and will continue until June 30, 2025.
According to a spokesperson of the Authority, the campaign aims to facilitate the renewal of licenses for already registered food businesses whose licenses have expired, and to bring unregistered units and businesses into the legal framework through formal registration.
The primary objective of the initiative is to ensure the provision of safe, quality and halal food to the public by regulating food businesses across the province.
Director General FS&HFA, Wasif Saeed has urged all stakeholders and food business owners to take full advantage of this special drive by ensuring timely registration and renewal of their licenses. He also emphasized the importance of full cooperation with the food safety teams of the Authority during the campaign.
Saeed warned that strict legal action will be taken against unregistered and substandard food businesses operating in violation of regulations.
It was further stated that food safety teams will remain actively engaged across all districts during the campaign, conducting market inspections and offering guidance regarding the registration and licensing process.
