Bajaur : In Bajaur, police officers have been awarded commendation certificates and cash prizes by Zulfiqar Hameed in recognition of a professional and effective investigation into a major narcotics case. The move is being seen as a matter of pride for both the Bajaur Police and the local community.
According to police sources, SP Investigation Naveed Iqbal and OII Bakht Zaman were honored for their outstanding investigative performance. Based on solid and irrefutable evidence presented by the investigation team, the court convicted the accused, Atiq-ur-Rehman, a resident of Darra, and sentenced him to life imprisonment. The verdict is being regarded as a significant milestone in the ongoing fight against narcotics.
District Police Officer (DPO) Bajaur Muhammad Khalid Khan, in his statement, said that such high-level recognition boosts the morale of the police force and reflects the professional competence of Bajaur Police in discharging their duties effectively.
He further stated that operations against the menace of drugs will continue without interruption, with the investigation wing playing a pivotal role. He emphasized that indiscriminate action will be taken against those involved in drug trafficking, ensuring they are brought to justice and awarded strict punishment.
The police also reiterated their commitment to protecting the youth from the scourge of drugs and to eliminating this menace from society by utilizing all available resources, with continued support from the public.
