The delegation visited the under-construction state-of-the-art laboratory, being established above the emergency block, as well as the designated site for the Cath Lab and the Endoscopy and Bronchoscopy units.
The Hospital Director said the laboratory, described as one of the largest in the province, is in the final stages of completion and will be inaugurated soon. He added that the Cath Lab has been approved and work on it will start shortly, while the Endoscopy and Bronchoscopy unit has already been completed. Speaking on the occasion, Asad Qaiser said the new operation theatres would provide better healthcare facilities to the people of Swabi and adjoining areas. He said efforts were underway to equip the hospital with modern medical facilities and ensure quality healthcare at the doorstep of the public.
Shahram Khan Tarakai announced Rs50 million for the hospital’s development schemes and assured full support for timely completion of ongoing projects.
Asad Qaiser said efforts were being made to turn Swabi into a medical city, adding that BKMC had made significant progress in a short period and had emerged as a major healthcare facility in the province.
