ISLAMABAD: In light of recent news reports published in various newspapers regarding the BUP (Built-up Property) compensation awards for 26 constructed properties in Sector G-14/1, the Director General of the Federal Government Employees Housing Authority (FGEHA), Captain (R) Zafar Iqbal, has constituted a fact-finding committee comprising four senior officers of the Housing Authority.

The purpose of this committee is to conduct a comprehensive and transparent investigation into the matter to identify any irregularities, erroneous BUP awards, or deviations from the law.

The committee members are as follows:

  1. Mr. Faiz Umar Sial, Director (Admin)
  2. Mr. Asim Aamir, Director (IT)
  3. Mr. Sahibzada Qasim Noor, Deputy Director (Finance)
  4. Mr. Haris Fawad, Assistant Director (GIS), FGEHA

The Terms of Reference (TORs) of the committee include:

  1. Reviewing the partial BUP award to identify any irregularities, contradictions, or errors.
  2. Verifying the details of constructed properties (BUPs) using GIS (Geographic Information System) technology.
  3. Determining whether the intent was genuinely to compensate the original and legitimate affectees or if unlawful constructions/dwellings were illegally favored.

The Director General has directed the committee to submit its investigative report within seven days, along with a clear determination of responsibility.

He has further instructed that any official or staff member found involved, regardless of rank or position, shall face strict action in accordance with the law. No individual involved in any wrongdoing will be spared.

The Director General has also assured that only rightful and legal owners will be compensated, and no one’s rights will be violated. Any attempt to deprive the genuine affectees of their due rights will be thoroughly investigated by the committee, and legal proceedings will be initiated against the responsible individuals based on the findings.

This initiative reflects FGEHA’s firm commitment to transparency, accountability, and strict adherence to legal procedures.
