PESHAWAR: President of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Lacrosse Association, Syed Salar Jehan Bacha, held an important meeting with Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs, Syed Fakhar Jehan, and Director General Sports KP, Mr. Tashfeen Haider, to discuss the development and expansion of lacrosse in the province.
During the meeting, Minister Syed Fakhar Jehan commended Syed Salar Jehan’s remarkable contributions, especially for bringing an international medal at the Okinawa Open Lacrosse Tournament, and for launching grassroots lacrosse initiatives in all districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
In a major announcement, the Minister revealed that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa will host the National Men’s and Women’s Lacrosse Championships, reaffirming the government’s commitment to support the sport. He also pledged to bring international lacrosse events to the province in the near future.
Syed Salar Jehan expressed gratitude to both the Minister and DG Sports for their unwavering support in promoting lacrosse as an Olympic sport in KP. On this occasion, he presented souvenirs to honor their dedication and continuous encouragement.
