Bajaur: With the arrival of Eid-ul-Adha, security across Bajaur district has been placed on high alert, while a comprehensive strategy was finalized during an important meeting chaired by Muhammad Khalid khan to ensure a peaceful and secure environment for citizens. Important decisions were taken regarding strict monitoring of markets, main highways, places of worship, and other sensitive locations during Eid, prevention of one-wheeling and aerial firing, special police deployment at the tourist spot of Ragagan Dam, and effective enforcement of Section 144.
Addressing the meeting, the DPO Bajaur said that additional police personnel would be deployed during Eid days in view of the expected rush and traffic pressure so that citizens would not face difficulties in commuting. He warned that indiscriminate action would be taken against those involved in one-wheeling, reckless driving, illegal parking, aerial firing, and activities disturbing public peace, adding that no leniency would be shown in this regard. He stated that Bajaur Police is fully active to protect the lives and property of the public, eliminate crime, and maintain a peaceful atmosphere during Eid celebrations.
He directed all officers and personnel to remain alert, avoid negligence in duty, and adopt a polite attitude towards the public, saying that efforts would be made to further strengthen trust between the police and citizens. The DPO also reaffirmed that Bajaur Police personnel would remain on the front line in every difficult situation and would not hesitate to make any sacrifice for the protection of the people. According to the spokesperson for Bajaur Police, special checkpoints and patrols would also continue across the district during Eid-ul-Adha to further enhance security arrangements.
