PESHAWAR: The Children’s Day Care Center at the Institute of Kidney Diseases (IKD) was inaugurated today in a formal ceremony attended by top officials of MTI-Hayatabad Medical Complex. Prof. Dr. Noorul Iman, Chairman, Board of Governors, MTI-Hayatabad Medical Complex, Dr. Gulzar Ahmad Khan, Hospital Director, and Dr. Kamran Khan, Director IKD, were present on the occasion.
During the ceremony, the Chairman highlighted the importance of the day care center, stating that it will provide employees with a supportive and convenient environment, allowing them to focus on their professional responsibilities while ensuring their children are cared for in a safe and well-equipped facility.
Prof. Dr. Shehzad Akbar, Dean (CEO) MTI HMC – KGMC and affiliate institutes, emphasized, “The establishment of this center reflects our commitment to employee welfare and ensuring a family-friendly work environment, which is essential for the overall well-being of our staff.”
Dr. Gulzar Ahmad Khan, Hospital Director, added, “This initiative will greatly assist our employees in balancing their professional and personal responsibilities, providing peace of mind knowing that their children are in a secure and nurturing environment.”

The center is designed for children aged 3 months to 4 years and includes structured registration procedures. Parents are required to submit a registration form along with the child’s photo and the parent’s identification card. Prior vaccination is mandatory before registration. Children’s essentials such as diapers, food, and milk remain the responsibility of the parents.
The center will operate from 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM, offering flexible timings to accommodate working parents. Strict guidelines have been laid out to ensure smooth functioning, and parents are expected to adhere to all instructions provided by the center.
