TP REPORT
ISLAMABAD: The hearing of an alleged Rs 36.3 million plot fraud case was adjourned until July 22 by Judicial Magistrate Abbas Shah at the District and Sessions Court, Islamabad. The accused, Hafizha Pervez, appeared before the court during the proceedings. However, witness statements could not be recorded, prompting the defense counsel to seek additional time. The court accepted the request and postponed the hearing. According to the case, the dispute relates to the purchase and sale of a plot in Park View Overseas Block, Islamabad. The complainants allege that the accused received a substantial amount of money in connection with the plot deal, but the agreed payments and transactions were not completed. The plaintiffs further claim that a separate case involving a dishonoured cheque worth Rs 17.8 million has also been registered against the accused. Legal proceedings under various fraud and cheating provisions are currently underway. The complainants maintain that despite the transfer of the plot, the full payment was not made, causing significant financial losses. The case was registered at Kohsar Police Station, and court proceedings continue.
