KOHAT: An important meeting of the Line Departments on the arrangements and law and order of the upcoming Muharram-ul-Haram, was held with the Deputy Commissioner Kohat Abdul Akram Chitrali in the chair at his office on Friday.
The meeting beside others, was also attended by the District Police Officer Kohat Dr. Zahidullah, Additional Deputy Commissioner (G) Hamid Iqbal, officials of police, district administration, line departments and other relevant institutions.
The meeting reviewed in detail the security and other arrangements for the upcoming Muharram Al-Haram and assigned responsibilities to all departments and institutions in this regard. The meeting also took certain important decisions related to the Muharram-ul-Haram.
Deputy Commissioner Kohat on this occasion, directed all the departments and institutions to complete their arrangements before the arrival of Muharram-ul-Haram so that the mourners do not face any kind of difficulty and these religious rituals are performed in a better way. He strictly directed to ensure the cleanliness, lighting, medical facilities, security, water supply and other basic necessities in the Imambargahs and procession routes.
Deputy Commissioner further directed all the departments and institutions to take timely measures with mutual cooperation and to work under a coordinated strategy by utilizing all available resources for ensuring the peaceful environment during Muharram-ul-Haram. He hoped, Insha Allah, this year too, Muharram-ul-Haram will pass peacefully.
