Peshawar: The Sarhad Rural Support Programme (SRSP) today marked World Refugee Day 2025 with a solemn ceremony at Amin Garhi, Peshawar, recognizing Pakistan’s 40-year legacy of hosting Afghan refugees and addressing contemporary refugee challenges worldwide.

The event, organized under SRSP’s Netherlands-funded Dutch Project, brought together key stakeholders including:

Representatives from the Afghan Commissionerate
Political leaders and policymakers
Law enforcement officials (KP Police)
Refugee community members
