PESHAWAR: Adviser to the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister on Sports and Youth Affairs, Taj Muhammad Khan Tarand, has paid tribute to sports journalists on World Sports Journalists Day, acknowledging their vital role in the promotion and development of sports.
In a message, Tarand said sports journalists serve as an important link between athletes and the public by highlighting sporting achievements, promoting emerging talent, and encouraging a healthy sporting culture. He said their professional reporting inspires young athletes and projects a positive image of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Pakistan at national and international levels.
He said the provincial government remains committed to promoting sports, empowering youth, and providing modern sports facilities, while recognizing the media’s key role in informing the public about these initiatives.
Congratulating sports journalists on the occasion, Tarand appreciated their dedication, professionalism, and commitment to responsible reporting, expressing hope that they would continue contributing to the growth and development of sports in Pakistan.
