PESHAWAR: A widow from Pushtakhara, Bakht Meena, alleged at a press conference on Friday that local police failed to act on her complaints and instead supported the illegal occupation of her house by rival family members.
She claimed her late husband had legally transferred ownership of the six-and-a-half marla house to her before his death, but after his passing she was allegedly harassed, forcibly evicted, and deprived of her belongings. Bakht Meena accused local police officials of bias and appealed to the Inspector General of Police, the Chief Secretary, and the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to intervene, ensure a fair investigation, and provide her with justice.
