PROVINCE REPORT
Mardan: The Special 25th Meeting of the Syndicate of the University of Engineering and Technology (UET) Mardan was held on Monday, July 13, 2026, under the chairmanship of Prof. Dr. Gul Muhammad Khan, Vice Chancellor, UET Mardan. The meeting was attended by distinguished members of the Syndicate representing the Higher Education Commission (HEC), Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Peshawar High Court, Academia, and UET Mardan.
The Syndicate considered the recommendations of the Sub-Committee constituted by the Finance and Planning Committee to review important financial and administrative matters of the University. After detailed deliberations, the Syndicate recommended the Budget Estimates for Financial Year 2026-27 and the Revised Budget Estimates for FY 2025-26 for onward approval of the Senate.
In view of the University’s expansion through the introduction of new academic programs and increased student enrollment, the Syndicate approved submission of a request to the Higher Education Department for issuance of No Objection Certificates (NOCs) for the recruitment of teaching and non-teaching staff against vacant positions in various academic departments and administrative offices.

Speaking on the occasion, Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Gul Muhammad Khan appreciated the contributions of the members of the Syndicate, Finance and Planning Committee, and the Sub-Committee for their valuable input in strengthening the University’s financial planning and governance framework. He reaffirmed the University’s commitment to academic excellence, institutional growth, financial sustainability, and provision of quality education and research opportunities to students.
