PESHAWAR: Pakistan’s emerging junior tennis star, Shayan Afridi, has begun preparations for the International Tennis Federation (ITF) Junior Championship, scheduled to start in Islamabad on August 15. He expressed confidence that he will give his best performance and compete strongly for the junior title.
Shayan Afridi is currently in outstanding form, having won three consecutive national junior tennis championships. He first claimed the National Junior Tennis Championship title in Sahiwal, followed by victories in the Bank of Punjab National Junior Tennis Championship and the Shahryar Malik National Junior Tennis Championship, both held in Lahore.
Speaking upon his return to Peshawar, Shayan said winning three successive national titles has boosted his confidence and motivation. He added that he is training hard for the ITF Junior Championship and hopes to bring another major honor to Pakistan through a strong performance.
Shayan said representing Pakistan at the international level is every athlete’s dream, and he is determined to make the most of the opportunity by showcasing his talent on the international stage.
