Chairman of the Pakistan Culture, Tourism and Arts Council (PCTO), Javed Aziz Khilji, has announced that a unique national song titled “Junoon-e-Azadi” has been prepared on the occasion of Pakistan’s Independence Day 2026 and will be officially released in August 2026.
He said that the national song is an important part of the PCTO Digital Network Project, which aims to promote the spirit of patriotism and highlight Pakistan’s culture, tourism, performing arts and national heritage at both national and international levels.
According to Chairman Javed Aziz Khilji, the beautiful national song has been written by renowned writer, poet and researcher Dr. Shahida Shaheen Sardar, who has effectively portrayed the sentiments of love for the country, national unity and harmony through her unique literary style.
He further said that PCTO is working on various national, cultural and literary projects through digital media to promote the positive identity of Pakistan, and “Junoon-e-Azadi” is also an important creative effort in this regard.
Javed Aziz Khilji said that details regarding the official release ceremony and other arrangements will be announced at an appropriate time. He expressed hope that the national song will further strengthen the spirit of patriotism, national pride and attachment to Pakistan’s cultural identity, especially among the younger generation.
