JAMRUD Leaders of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI) in Jamrud have announced full support for party chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman’s recent address in Kasur.
Addressing a joint press conference at Jamrud Press Club, JUI Jamrud Amir Mufti Saeed Khan, General Secretary Maulana Saeed Haqqani, and other senior leaders said the issues raised by Maulana Fazlur Rehman — including transparent elections, stability of democracy, and the problems of tribal districts — are national concerns, not just of one political party.
The leaders called on journalists, political parties, civil society, and all schools of thought to highlight these national issues with responsibility and honesty.
They reaffirmed that JUI will continue to stand with Maulana Fazlur Rehman on every constitutional, democratic, and political forum. The leaders also demanded that all state institutions work within the limits of the Constitution and avoid unnecessary interference in political matters.
Speaking on the occasion, they said JUI has made great sacrifices for peace, democracy, and public rights, especially in the tribal areas, and these sacrifices cannot be forgotten. They warned that unrest, injustice, and violation of public rights in tribal districts will not be tolerated.
The JUI leaders vowed to continue a democratic and peaceful struggle to protect the constitutional and legal rights of the people, and said the party will remain firm on its principled stance and will not allow any negative propaganda or conspiracy to succeed.
