PESHAWAR : Famous Peshawar-based TikToker Imran Khan alias Cheetah has accused NADRA of leaking Pakistani citizens’ data and demanded an investigation and action by the government.

Addressing a press conference at the Peshawar Press Club, Imran Cheetah said that he raises the slogan of “Pakistan Zindabad” on TikTok and promotes a message of peace, but some elements are unhappy with his activities. He alleged that individuals based abroad obtained his family’s data through their alleged contacts in Pakistan and are now threatening to release the pictures and personal information of his mother, sisters, and other relatives on TikTok Live.

He said that he has contacted the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Peshawar and other relevant institutions regarding the matter and has submitted applications for action. Imran Cheetah questioned how ordinary citizens face difficulties obtaining documents from NADRA, while some individuals allegedly manage to obtain complete citizens’ data.

He demanded that action be taken against the alleged blackmailing group operating from abroad and their alleged associates in Peshawar, and that protection be provided to him and his family.

Imran Cheetah further said that TikTok Live is allegedly being used for blackmailing and anti-Pakistan activities, and demanded a ban on the feature.

Right activist Shah Nam Khan also addressed the press conference and called on the government to ensure protection of citizens’ data, take action against those allegedly involved, and prevent the misuse of online platforms.
