Visits injured personnel, pledges full support for martyrs’ families

PESHAWAR: Special Assistant to the Chief Minister for Home and Tribal Affairs Tariq Saeed Marwat attended the funeral prayers of three personnel martyred in the terrorist attack on the Manjhi Khel Check Post in Tank and reaffirmed the provincial government’s resolve to eradicate terrorism.
The martyrs included Police Constable Bilal Khan, Police Constable Tala Muhammad and Forest Guard Noor Azam. Senior civil and police officials, relatives of the martyrs and local elders attended the funeral, where the fallen personnel were laid to rest with full state honours.
Speaking on the occasion, Tariq Saeed Marwat said the sacrifices of the martyrs were a source of pride for the nation and would never go in vain. He said the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government was taking all possible measures to maintain law and order and eliminate terrorism.
He conveyed condolences to the bereaved families and assured them of the provincial government’s continued financial assistance and welfare support under the directives of Chief Minister Muhammad Sohail Khan Afridi.
Later, accompanied by Chief Secretary Shahab Ali Shah, Inspector General of Police Zulfiqar Hameed and other senior officials, Tariq Marwat visited police personnel injured in the attack. He praised their courage, wished them a speedy recovery and assured them of the best medical treatment and all necessary support.
He reiterated that the provincial government stands firmly with the police, security forces and law enforcement agencies and will continue efforts to ensure lasting peace across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
