WASHINGTON: US Secretary of State Marco Rubio has extended warm congratulations to the people of Pakistan on the occasion of the country’s Independence Day.
In a statement issued on August 13, Rubio said the United States and Pakistan were strengthening cooperation in several key areas, including regional mediation, critical minerals, energy, counterterrorism, cultural heritage, trade and investment.
He said the growing cooperation between the two countries was helping turn potential into progress and delivering tangible results for both Americans and Pakistanis.
“On this special occasion, we commemorate the partnership between our nations and the bonds of friendship between our peoples,” Rubio said.
The Secretary of State reaffirmed the importance of the longstanding partnership and friendship between the United States and Pakistan, extending best wishes to the Pakistani people on their national day.
